Editorial policy
Local Outdoor Living aims to be accurate, clear about its limits and independent in its editorial decisions. We explain what a piece does and does not establish, and make changes when a reader shows us that something needs correcting.
Accuracy and corrections
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable material before publication, and distinguish general explanation from personal preference. If you spot an error, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the relevant wording and note the correction where appropriate.
Editorial independence
Editorial choices are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage to a partner. A commercial relationship does not determine our editorial conclusions, and we do not present promotional claims as independent findings.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Any links or placements arranged as part of a partnership are identified accordingly. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when an illustration is AI-generated, we label it as such.
Outside begins at the familiar edge.
A doorstep, a path or a nearby patch of green can change the feel of a day. We look at the details that help people enjoy these places in their own way.
